Joint Forces Headquarters Facility

Morrissey Engineering is currently providing technology design services for the new Joint Forces Headquarters Facility at the Army National Guard Base in Lincoln, NE. This 120,000 SF facility will include Army National Guard, Nebraska State Patrol, and Nebraska Emergency Management Agency operations. The project is being designed for SPIRIT Gold Certification (analogous to LEED Gold for military facilities). The technology design responds to the specialized needs of the following unique functions of the building:
- Hardened Emergency Operations Center for Nebraska Emergency Management Agency
- Hardened Radio Communications Center for Nebraska Emergency Management Agency
- Hardened Dispatch Center for Nebraska State Patrol
- Entry intercom system serving Dispatch Center for Nebraska State Patrol
- Emergency Operations Center for Army National Guard
- Computer hub room supporting centralized technology services for multiple buildings at Army National Guard Base
- Intensive satellite dish and radio antenna communications requirements
- Improvements and reconfiguration of campus communications infrastructure to support new Joint Forces Headquarters Facility
- Access control system design incorporating requirements of multiple government agencies
- Intrusion detection system for secure storage vaults
- Hardened technology design for Secure Communications Room serving Nebraska Emergency Management Agency
- Hardened technology design for Secure Communications Room serving Army National Guard
- Multiple distance learning classrooms
- Video wall in Emergency Operations Center for Nebraska Emergency Management Agency
- Video equipped conference rooms throughout the facility
- Active streamer-type lightning protection covers facility with minimal aesthetic impact
Pathway design for technology cabling reflects needs for reliability and flexibility. Satellite dish and radio communications pathways are tailored to the special needs of the cables associated with these modes of communication.
