Bank of the West Corporate Campus Omaha, NE
Morrissey Engineering designed the mechanical and electrical systems for the new Corporate Headquarters Facility for Bank of the West (formerly Commercial Federal Bank). This 265,000 square foot building designed by Holland Basham Architects, was designed to bring together the company's Operations and Technology components into one facility.
The building was constructed in two phases to accommodate move in by the Owner. Construction of the second phase Technology Center is under way with expected completion in June, 2006.

Building mechanical, electrical and technology system features include :
- 1100 tons chilled water system
- 11000 MBH hot water boiler system
- Air handling units on each floor
- Variable air volume (VAV) system
- Perimeter fan powered boxes with heating water coils
- Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) Units for raised floor Data Center
- Redundant piping configurations for Data Center to use stand alone glycol cooler or building chilled water system for 24/7/365 operation
- Graphic based Energy Management System with monitoring and control capability for all HVAC systems, Generators, UPS Systems, Lighting, Fire Alarm, Security
- 3 - 480/277 Volt Electrical Services
- 3000 KW of installed generators providing 100% backup power
- Closed transition generator paralleling for "no-blink" transfer from live sources
- 300 KVA redundant (600 KVA installed) UPS in distributed redundant configuration, capable of upgrade to 900 KVA, installed UPS in ring bus configuration
- Redundant power sources to each equipment cabinet within the data center
- Indirect office lighting with daylight control, motion/occupancy sensing control and load shed control
- LED emergency lighting for energy efficiency and lamp maintenance
- Telecommunications design including CAT 6 cabling, fiber backbone cabling, redundant service entrances, redundant risers
- Access control with integrated CCTV (surveillance cameras)
- Sound masking system with integral paging throughout
- Lightning protection system
Parking Garages-Two parking garages feature 350 stalls of poured in place concrete construction. The garages include metal halide lighting with glare control, and daylight control for energy efficiency. Surveillance monitoring coverage is provided throughout each garage. Blue emergency phones are also provided at each stair entrance.
