Morrissey Engineering acted as lead design professional for the renovation of 56,500 square feet of the existing 4-story building. The facility houses back-up facilities for Union Pacific Harriman Dispatch Center with space for additional business resumption activities. Designed and constructed in under nine months, nearly 900 workstations and a 4,500 square foot data center are contained in the facility. The facility is completely backed up by a 750 KW emergency generator. A 300 KVA UPS supports critical functions.

In conjunction with the Disaster Recovery project, we also provided design services for another component of their disaster recovery plan, utilization of a 5,000 sqft. data center at 94th & Dodge. Morrissey Engineering provided engineering services for the move to this facility.
