Morrissey Engineering was retained by CoSentry and Alegent Health to develop a TIA 942 Tier IV Data Center Design for their collocation facility joint venture.
Features of this facility include:
• (4) areas of 5,000 SF each of raised floor data center suites initial,(46,000 SF initial) expandable to 8 suites (92,000 SF expanded) with 13,000 SF office space
• F-5 FEMA design guidelines with 250 mph wind resistance
• 250 LB/SF floor loading capacity
• Gaseous fire protection for data center suites, electrical rooms and telecommunications rooms
• 24 hour guard station with bullet resistant features
• Designed for HIPAA and Sarbanes Oxley data access restrictions
• 750KVA dedicated UPS systems for each suite along with 2250KVA multi-module catcher bus UPS system for backup
• Redundant power company circuits and automatic throw over (ATO)
• 6.5MW Diesel Engine backup generation system initial with paralleling controls and export capability, expandable to 13MW
• EPA Certified generators with fuel polishing systems
• High efficiency N+1 chilled water system with water side economizer (free cooling)
