Position Overview

We seek a skilled and motivated Construction Administrator to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to support the successful delivery of mechanical and electrical systems across a wide range of projects, including commercial, educational, religious, housing, and mission-critical projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in both field and office environments and enjoys solving complex construction challenges. Candidates may specialize in mechanical systems, electrical systems, or bring experience in both disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide construction-phase oversight and coordination of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure alignment with design intent and project goals.

  • Conduct site visits and prepare detailed observation reports documenting progress, compliance, and deficiencies.

  • Identify construction issues and collaborate with project teams to develop effective, practical solutions.

  • Respond to RFIs and coordinate with contractors, architects, and stakeholders to maintain project momentum.

  • Review and process pay applications, change orders, and related documentation for accuracy and timeliness

  • Support communication and coordination across multidisciplinary teams

  • Document existing conditions and relay critical field information to support design decisions.

  • Serve as the Owner’s Representative, helping ensure projects meet expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.

  • Balance responsibilities between fieldwork and office tasks (approximately 50/50 split)

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience in construction administration with a focus on mechanical and/or electrical building systems

  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and system design considerations

  • Proven ability to produce clear, thorough site observation reports

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with construction management software and documentation tools
